GACC Procedure
All intending exporters of Plant and Plant products to the People’s Republic of China are welcome to apply through Department of Crop Inspection and Certification, that is the National Plant Protection Organization in the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries.
- Submit an application on a company-headed paper (letterhead) to the Commissioner Crop Inspection and Certification, requesting for inspection of the company value chain as per the GACC Decree 248 and 249.
- Submit through contact email: ippccommenting@agriculture.go.ug
Information to include in / attach to the application letter:
- list of crop commodities exported to China,
- attach the Company Certificate of Incorporation,
- attach a trading license.
- Agricultural Inspectors will be assigned to carry out the inspection. Upon submission of a compliance report, the National Plant Protection Organisation will create your profile and submit a recommendation report through the GACC registration portal.
- Duration for MAAIF certification depends on the time taken to complete the inspection and submission of a compliant report.
- The client is advised then to wait until the GACC Administration in China approves the submission at their end.
